A new iron!! I paid a pretty penny for this purdy little gadget, but so far it's living up to it's reputation! I've got a project ready to fuse with it and I am a happy, happy camper!
I had to put my old iron out of it's misery after it did THIS! Yikes! It even had the nerve to scorch the corner of the charity quilt I was working on at the time! That reminds me..I need a new mini ironing board cover too! LOL
Ok...so it's a very SMALL parade of pinwheels! LOL These little gems are swap blocks for one of my yahoo quilting groups, Sew Many Swaps. They are made with Kaffee Fassett fabrics and tone on tone contrasting fabs, and boy are they snazzy! I can't wait to get my return swap blocks!
Woohoo! Nothing beats free fabric in my mailbox! Well...except a check in my name LOL! I received a beautiful assortment of Pat Sloan fabrics from This n That that I won last weekend in a raffle with the sloanie yahoo group! I will probably use them in my Good Book Club block sampler! Many thanks to Linda and Sandy from TnT and of course Pat Sloan!
The title of my blog is the punchline of a VERY bad knock knock joke that I remember from my childhood! That stupid joke ran through my head for days while I was working on these little faux chocolate fellows! I have one basket on my coffee table, and the other baskets went to Michelle and Peg, my 2 best pals!
Here's a close-up of the milk chocolate bunny ;) The pattern was designed by Denise Davis of Sassafras Hill Primitives and was alot of fun to make!
Spring begins tomorrow and Easter is this Sunday! My gosh, the first quarter of 2008 is almost over! I better get some quilts finished!
Ya know...I LOVE fabric and quilting....but it sure is nice to get a surprise of roses every once in awhile ;) Although a surprise of fabric is greatly appreciated too! LOL These were given to me "just because"...which is the best reason IMHO!
Well Michelle asked to see a pic of Bill and the bird, so here they are! I had never owned a parakeet before and let me tell you..they have alot of personality in a little package! The keet's name is Powder, although he thinks his name is "Birdy Bird", and his daddy is the apple of his eye ;)
