Quilter's Blog-Hop Party with Give-Aways!

Yes we have a winner on THIS blog post :)

Happy 5th Anniversary to the Quilting Gallery and Michele Foster!!! To celebrate this anniversary, they are hosting a blog hop and give-away!! I LOVE give-aways, don't you?

Visit here to participate in the blog hop and share in all the fun and chances to win some goodies, or visit through the button on my sidebar!

I've chosen to give away a great pincushion, a Warren Kimble-style rabbit, made from felted wool. He measures 9"x10" and you can use him for a pincushions or just as a fun addition to your sewing area!

I have started thinking about sewing resolutions for 2013...after all it IS right around the corner! I would like to be more organized, and make more quilts for charity and also get more tops into finished quilts! For a chance to win my bunny, please leave me a comment and let me know if you have any quilty resolutions as well, or if there are new techniques you are thinking about trying for 2013. I am willing to ship internationally so this contest is open to all until Monday, December 17th 2012 when I will chose a random winner :)

Happy Holidays to you all and enjoy the blog hop!!!

Is it too late to be in the blog hop? I've done this every year, but I must have missed it somehow. Thanks Robin.

Barbara said...

Hah, new techniques? Yup! If it can be considered a technique, to get going on a couple UFOs!

Darling little bunny pincushion. Always good to set some new goals and really try to accomplish them. Every time I clean up my sewing room I can't seem to find anything! Maybe I work better in clutter.

I am hoping to finish my very first quilt in 2013! And do a lot more sewing in general since I'll have way more space in our new house.

I dont have fabric now but when ido i donate my quilts to the neonatel intensive care and lap quilts to the physical therapy ward. I was there for over two months and know how hard it is to get around in a wheel chair with a sheet or blanket to cover your legs. They either slide out in the floor or get hung in the wheels babscorbitt@gmail.com

I have also been working on that organization piece of my sewing. And tonight as I was sewing some last minute gifts the need for this was confirmed...wasted more time looking for stuff than sewing stuff! LOL
The bunny is wonderful...he would match my collection of Warren Kimble furniture, dishes, etc... Thanks for the opportunity!

Kathy said...

Oh I wish I could be more organized in the New Year...but I think I know better. Love your little bunny he is adorable!

That is a gorgeous pincushion! I have a friend who has been taking care of her daughter who has 3 types of cancer who needs a really BIG pick me up. She is a rabbit collector. She would really enjoy receiving this! Please use my link to include her in the giveaway. If I were to win, Faith would receive the bunny.

I love organization but sometimes things do get upside down, especially when I am sewing on several projects at once. I keep a really neat home most of the time but once I was working on several things and my sewing room was in a really total mess (thank goodness it was upstairs - out of sight). My mother in law came by one day to see what I was working on and I told her she couldn't go up until the next day so I could clean up a bit. She kept on begging to go upstairs saying my house was always clean. I finally told her to go ahead. When she got to the top of the stairs she hollered out, "Thearica!!!". I laughed and said "I told you so!

I have set some aspirations for 2013 which include learning to knit something other than the regular afghan. I want to do some cross stitching (something I have not done in 12 years) and I also want to learn to paper piece! Paper piecing and I have a love/hate relationship...mostly hate! My blocks always come out wonky and hit the trashcan!

Thank you for the awesome giveaway! Merry Christmas!
